Why Theobroma Cacao? After all, the indigenous Mayan communities of what is now Guatemala were some of the first consumers and devotees of cacao.
Kacaou Farms is located in the heart of the Mayan civilization, alongside one of the most beautiful rivers in Guatemala, Rio Dulce. Is dedicated to the production of fine cacao (Trinitario-Mayan Red) and aims to bring its essence again. It is ethically sourced, with good practices, and no chemical use directly to the plant.
In 2017 we were awarded one of the 50 best beans from 166 samples from around the world for the Cocoa of Excellence. On 30 October, we won one of the 18 International Cocoa Award celebrated at the Salon du Chocolat, Paris. You can see the bean flavor profile here.
